Pyrex glass and glass foam - 2017

The heart of this espresso coffee cup is glass foam, an amazing material that we have worked with and made entirely from recycled glass and eggshells. The material’s porous aspect is at the same time visually stunning and very functional; it has amazing thermal insulation properties, perfect for keeping coffee hot without having to burn your hand. this clean cylindrical shape, reminiscent of a geological coring which brings a mineral and raw touch to an interior.
