Humidifier

Glass foam and ceramic - 2018

Scientists project water onto their blades to cut glass foam. I was surprised by the foam’s impressive absorbing qualities and I noticed that some samples remained damp for days.

I decided to explore this phenomenon through humidifiers that are destined to a winter use. In fact, when radiators are blasting, the air gets dry and diseases spread more easily. The opening gives an indication of the amount of water to pour and was carved accordingly. The bridge at the bottom also serves a purpose by indicating that the object is full when water is dripping into the tray. The tray base is conceived in ceramic to support the heat of a radiator.
